In Italian news, my little brother has bought a property in Italy.

Sadly, no. It’s a two bedroom flat in a coastal town in the South, well off the tourist trail.
I’ve arranged to stay next month and as Ryanair’s idea of the local airport is three hours drive away and I don’t feel like combining left hand drive, Italian roads and a manual ‘box I’ve booked a Fiat 500 (or equivalent) automatic. Kid brother did the same for his last visit and found that his Fiat 500 (or equivalent) was in fact a 500.

It was attached to a Duologic automated manual box which poor baby brother had never heard of before, never mind encountered, and he didn’t know what to make of it. No creep, couldn’t easily figure out how get it started, ran back on hills, felt funny when changing gear and so on and on.
I’m likely to get the same or similiar and trepidation is setting in aleady (although I’ve driven a Smart and several other cars with AMTs without any difficulty).

I lived in Como for a few months, and I’d love to buy a house there some day.
A coastal town in the south still sounds nice though! Good luck dealing with Italian drivers =o3
